We have 4 different classes for pre-schoolers; Football, Tennis, Rugby and Gymnastics. Simple ideas such as learning to take turns and listen make a real difference with a pre-school age child. We work on the basis that the children coming to our sessions will learn much more if they are engaged as well as entertained so we have a creative programme with lots of variety to deliver for both sports and may add additional sports in coming months.
Pre-School obesity amongst 2-4 year olds doubled during the 90s rising to above 12% for 5 yr olds by 2006 (per the national childhood obesity database) so it is important to introduce the idea of sport and exercise early on.

FootballOn offer is an entry level programme designed to develop football skills in a fun-filled vibrant, group play environment.
We aim to encourage social skills as well as fundamental football skills. Our classes teach listening, sharing, colour and counting within a team play situation. At this age football should be full of positivity, no performance pressures, just a friendly, fun filled session delivered in a safe manner. We have a football starter pack to include a Football shirt, shorts and socks. The cost of the starter pack is £15 and is compulsory after the first week of attendance to encourage a feeling of belonging and a team environment. Pre-School Football Booking Form Jan-Apr here |
TennisWith Pre-School Tennis we aim to provide an introduction to tennis for children aged 2.5-5.0 yrs of age.
Our programme has been prepared to provide children with sessions which incorporate a variety of learning aids using ballooons, soft balls and targets. We aim to inspire confidence and self awareness within a group environment which encourages social interaction. Our groups have small coach to child ratios to ensure that each child can progress at their own rate. Pre-School Tennis Booking Form Jan-Apr here |
RugbyWe are delighted to continue our successful preschool rugby programme with Michael Trotter running these popular sessions.
These sessions are not about scoring trys but about developing the motor skills and balance/co-ordination abilities through fun games with other children of a similar age. Pre-School Rugby Booking Form Jan-Apr here |
